What will the 2007 boxing year be remembered for?

I think a lot of good things happened in boxing this year. There were some great matchups but what will 2007 be remembered for?

It does not necessarily have to be a particular fight.|||The year of GREAT FIGHTS that lived up to the hype (Except for Delahoya-Mayweather) You had both Marquez-Vazquez fights, Cotto-Judah, Cotto-Mosley, Pavilik-Taylor, Pavilik-Miranda, Marquez-Barrera, Darchinyan-Donaire, Hatton-Castillo, and finally Hatton-Mayweather. And I'm sure there were others I did not remember. Thats about one great fight a month. 2007 was a great year for boxing!!|||Flloyd|||I hope it will be remembered as the rebirth of the sport. Boxing is one of the greatest sports ever, but has been dieing slowly but surely for the past 5 or 10 years. 2007 showed me that the sport does not need to be determined by the heavyweight division, but by the heart, determination and hunger to be the best at the craft. It was a huge year in pretty much every weight class except for heavy weight. With the introduction of 24/7, huge pay per view fights, and big name clashes, this year may go down as one of the best in recent years.|||when hatton was floored by mayweather before his own family and many celebrities like angelina jolie, even rocky what a shame the english r so close but never make it to top level in all sports rugby, cricket, football|||Pretty boy floyd|||this was the reincarnation of boxing. I'm not pointing at a specific fighter but Floyd mayweather and Oscars golden boy promotions and HBO took boxing to a new level. never has it been a year with so many huge fights and so much money build up made in the sport of boxing. where there's is a lot of money there or a lot of people. that's why the mayweather delohoya bout was promoted by the world awaits. mayweathers 24/7 was a master piece of an idea. this show hyped me up more for a bout than ever. it showed that boxing can compete with the other sports. as long as its a good line up of major bouts and good hype its going to sale. and to make this long story short honestly hate him or love him not for the pound for pound best or the arrogant, flashy, dad hating kid from grand rapids Michigan but as the boxer who help save a dying sport Floyd mayweather Jr. That's his legacy and it shouldn't end 2007 but with a huge bang into 2008 against Cotto.|||It will be remembered as the year of Floyd Mayweather. Two huge wins with record setting pay-per-view numbers|||hopefully 2007 will put to rest the "boxing is dying" talk that got brought up by the media before and after every action packed fight we all had the pleasure of witnessing.|||The 2007 boxing year will be remembered for great super Fightes matchups like.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs. Oscar De La Hoya

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs. Ricky Hatton

Bernard Hopkins Vs. Winky Wright

Miguel Cotto Vs. Shane Mosley

Miguel Cotto Vs. Zab Judah

And Others
