Boxing????????????????????????

Hi, i am 14 years old, i want to do boxing. I am also in karate, but the problem is my mom, she is always yapping on about "Oh are you sure this is what you want to do?"

she is soooo anoying because she tries to convince me not to, just a few minutes ago she said "Im glad you like boxing, but you might get hurt, are you sure?" SHE ASKS ME IF I AM "SURE" EVERYDAY!!! she thinks i cant handle it! does she think im weak???|||Tell your mom that you want to LEARN the rudiments of boxing for self defense first and then the confidence, responsibility, conditioning, discipline that comes with it. Later, as you grow, all these added things help you overcome fear, weather it's getting up in front of an audience to address them or being interviewed for a job, this confidence is valuable in all ways of life, all from boxing and it's building of character and confidence. Tell her you want those benefits. I'm sure then, she'll understand. Good luck.|||It's a role of the mother to make sure you are just alright, because at such age, still your minds will make some changes with the decision you do.

So, if you really are contented to stay and do boxing, then convincing her is not a difficult methods, but make sure about this matter because if you didn't decide seriously, then what she said, "Oh are you sure this is what you want to do?", will be a right things that comes on her minds.

Doubts will always be their once you will not going to stick on the activities that you want to do.

Good luck
