Is adding some boxing to Hapkido good for overall punching power? The kicks and throws in Hapkido are awesome but the punches are weaker. If i add some boxing will it improve my overall striking?|||Positively, it will gonna improve your overall striking, remember that boxing concentrate on techniques, likely; stance, punches (jab, cross, hook, uppercut), defense (slip, sway, duck, bobbing, parry, cover-up, clinch) and guard.
Punching power are being improve by doing proper stance and correct punches, of course regular practice and dedication to achieve it, focus, timing and concentration.
Good luck|||You can never go wrong with adding some boxing training into your overall martial arts training. I'd actually say that punch defense is the best skill that boxing gives you, and that's great for self-defense because punches are arguably the most common form of attack. Boxing training also gives you good conditioning, improves your timing, and as you noted, is known for focusing on punching power. I'd say go for it.|||Yes boxing is the perfect compliment to any martial art. Especially arts like judo or hapkido
