In Boxing, How long does it usually take to have your first amateur fight?

I have been boxing for 6 months and I have not had mine. In fact, I only sparred twice and that was without the owners permission.|||I HAD MY FIRST FIGHT 4 DAYS AFTER JOINING THE GYM i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT i DID WIN BUT IF i KNEW WHAT i KNOW NOW i WOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT. i TRAIN FIGHTERS AND i WILL NOT LET ANY OF THEM FIGHT BEFORE 3 MONTH HAS PASSED. 6 MONTHS IS A LONG TIME BUY YOUR TRAINER MUST KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T. aSK HIM WHAT IS THE HOLD UP. YOU SHOULD BE SPARRING TWICE A WEEK.|||The boxing gym I used to train at usually waited a year before putting you in for your first amateur fight, it's frustrating but in a year you will have greatly improved from when you first started and will have a better chance of winning compared with if they just threw you into the ring after a month or so. Talk to your trainer about it, only he would know.
