What kind of boxing gloves should I buy?

I have been boxing for a few months now, and I am looking for a long lasting pair of gloves for the heavy bag and light sparring.|||Ringside is the only affordable brand I vouch for or recommend when it comes to gear in general. The only thing I dislike about Ringside is that their customer service is horrible and their shipping is contracted through UPS. It's a horrid company that produces excellent products.





If you're willing to spend the extra buck, go for Cleto Reyes or Grant.





The brands you'll want to avoid at all costs are Everlast, Title, Combat Sports, Century, or anything else that is not Ringside, Cleto Reyes, Winning, or Grant (the only thing good that Grant produces is their "Professional" line of gloves, no other products or gloves). Everlast and Title make horrible products in general and are dishonest. They are two sides of one coin, as their products are manufactured, stored, and sold out of the same factory. They sell cheap (and often previously used), half-assed products at 10x the value and are very dishonest and corrupt. You'll order an item when it's on sale and they'll confirm that the item is indeed on sale, but they'll bill you for the standard item price without telling you, etc.

All the best.|||Bag gloves and sparring gloves usually use two different foam combinations. A bag glove, weather it be Reyes, Grant or whomever has a different type of foam than a glove used to spar or hit someone with. Therefore, that said, I'd personally buy the Grant Super bag glove 12 oz. velcro closure and any top of the line 14 or 16 oz. sparring glove.
